Practical Assessment and Fitness Information

The increased speed, athleticism and skills of netball players have intensified the physical contest, which presents fresh challenges and opportunities for umpires. As a result, umpires maintaining a suitable level of fitness for the matches they are officiating is expected.

As part of the Award process, Europe has implemented a minimum fitness requirement for each award and uses the Multistage Fitness Test (also known as the Beep test or Bleep Test). The requirements are identified below:
