Team South Tigers U17s compete in NPL Tournament

Netball South entered a team in the NPL Tournament 2017 that took place last weekend at the David Ross Sports Centre on Nottingham University Campus. The team competed in U17s group F and faced strong teams such as Team Bath, Wales, Manchester Thunder and more.

They opened their tournament with a win against Surrey Storm U17. After a loss against Yorkshire Netball that afternoon, the following morning they competed against Team Bath, in a nail-biting, close game, the whistle blew with their oppositions in the lead but only by two goals. That afternoon they faced Manchester Thunder and the following morning, Wales, unfortunately loosing both games, however showing amazing potential, grit and determination throughout.

The final day, and the final game, saw the Team South Tigers, once again face their NPL neighbours, Surrey Storm. Winning the game 32 - 19 meant the Tigers finished 11th overall in the tournament.

Thank you to the players, parents, coaches, managers, physio and England Netball for organising the extremely successful tournament.
