Weston Park Blades Netball Club


2017 marks fifty years since our club was established, and this summer we are looking to recruit additional coaches to our outstanding coaching team. Weston Park Blades provides competitive opportunities for players of all ages. We have junior squads from U11s to U16s with playing locally, at county and at regional level. We also have one U19 squad, two regional level senior squads, plus our top squad who compete in National Premier League, Division 1: Viper10 Blades.  We are proud of our record of success and of our achievements, with many current and former England and Super League players at WPBlades.

As our playing membership increases we welcome interest from qualified coaches who would like to join our coaching team. Come to training sessions in May and June to meet our coaches and to get a feel for our club.  Find out how we may support you and your coaching ambitions as you help Weston Park Blades to reach new performance heights in our 50th year, in the 2017-18 season.

Sports Coach - Netball Specialist

We are looking for an excellent Sports Coach to teach Netball in our Senior School.  The role is to cover two terms, from September 2017 to end of March 2018.  
The ideal candidate would also have the ability to coach in other areas such as hockey.
The successful candidate will be required to work 20 to 25 per week term time, afternoons from 12.30pm and approximately 4 Saturdays per term.  Flexibility is an essential requirement for the role, for example, returning late from away matches.  Salary will be discussed at interview.

Slough School Network Seeks Level 2 Netball Coach for Primary School Sessions

Urgent Need of Level 2 Netball Coach in Slough Area.
Coaching in a primary school for 12 weeks starting 20th April 2017. The ideal candidate will be a Level 2 coach that has public liability, an up to date DBS, experience of coaching in primary schools and available on a Thursday 3.30pm – 4.30pm starting this week or asap – can be the same person for 12 weeks or 2 different people for each of the half terms whatever works best!

Sussex Netball Club Coach Recruitment

Thame Netball club are looking for a new Coach. We currently train on Friday evenings at Lord Williams Lower School Sports hall, Thame. 6pm - 7.30pm. This would also involve attending matches played on a Wednesday evening in and around Aylesbury in the Aylesbury and District Netball League, between 7pm to 10pm depending on what teams are playing. We currently pay our coach and this can be discussed if interested. The club is happy to cover costs of a Coaching course if required.

Newbury Junior Netball Club

We are a junior developing netball club which is expanding and are looking for  coaches. We currently have 5 age groups (Under 11, Under 12, Under 13, Under 14 and Under 16) who train indoors on a Tuesday and Thursday evening at Park House School in Newbury.  Each age group has a team entered into the Berkshire Junior Netball League and compete in league matches on Sundays at various venues across Berkshire (ie. Loddon Leisure Centre, Lower Earley, Windsor Girls School and Brackenhale School in Bracknell.)

We  have approximately 110 girls across our age groups and are keen for the Club to progress to the next level.  We would love to hear from you if you are interested in getting involved.

These roles are on a voluntary basis but we can help with travel expenses to league matches and tournaments where necessary.

Pangbourne College Seek Netball Coaches

Pangbourne College are looking to appoint experienced Netball coaches to train and support teams in all age groups. Ideally you will hold a Level 1 qualification and a Referee qualification would be advantageous.

You will need to be able to work a minimum of 4 afternoons a week during the Lent Term (January to April), which will include every Saturday afternoon (during term time) for home or away fixtures.

Rushmoor Netball Club Coach

Rushmoor Netball club are looking for Level 1 and 2 Coaches to join their junior coaching team for September 2017. We currently train on a Tuesday or Thursday evening and games are on Wednesday or Thursday or Saturday or Sunday depending on the team you are with.

We would consider coaches who are in the process of obtaining their level 1 certificate.  If you have experience in playing netball and wish to take your coaching further we would also consider this.

Akeley Wood School is looking for a coach

Required to coach netball across a range of age groups (11-18) as well as managing a specific school team.

Job Summary
The role consists of working with the Director of Sport and other members of the PE department at Akeley Wood School. This will involve working with a variety of age groups as well as having specific responsibility for the coaching of a number of teams and the management of fixtures and training sessions.
This coach requires netball specific coaching skills and/or relevant playing/coaching experience to a high standard. They should be able to demonstrate good communication skills, an enthusiasm to work with children and a high level of personal motivation.
Hours of Employment
Coaches will be required for a minimum of 14 hours per week during term time (12 school weeks, January – March) to include; Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons; Each afternoon to include a year group games session (1400 – 1600) followed by a team practice (1600 – 1715)

Coaches will also be required to take Saturday and midweek matches. The availability to work Saturdays is essential; Remuneration based upon experience and qualifications.

The Hampshire NDO, Carey, is looking for a UKCC Level 2 Netball coach to lead on new Back to Netball sessions in Aldershot at Wavell School and in another Petersfield. For the Wavell session she is looking for someone to lead on a Tuesday evening.

Chesham Stages are looking for a Level 2 Netball Coach who can develop players of varying bilities for the 2016/17 season.

Training is on Wednesdays 7.30pm - 9.30pm at the Chiltern Hills Sport Hall.

Gosport Gators Coaching Oppotunity 

Gosport Gators are looking for a  Proactive, enthusiastic, motivational and knowledgeable coach. Preferably already a UKCC Level 1 Netball Coach but this is not essential. The new coach will be working with our junior club members, ages range from 7-14. We train on a Friday night @ St Vincent College, Gosport from 1815-1930. The girls also play in the junior league at Cams Hill School on Thursdays, between 6-8pm. The voluntary coaching commitments will be on a Friday but if the coach wanted to provide support on match days too this would be greatly appreciated. 

We are a very supportive club who have, in the past, either part or fully funded coaches on courses. This is something we would be willing to consider doing for the volunteer coach. In return, we would expect the volunteer coach to provide long term commitment to the club. A DBS check will be carried out by the club. The South Buck Performance Pathways Academy are searching for a handful of coaches to both assist and lead their Academy sessions. See below the three different roles.

Assistant Coach

Main Purpose of the Role:

To assist in planning and delivering a well-balanced and co-ordinated programme using the Performance Guidelines and EN Performance Programme and liaise closely with the Performance Lead and Head Coach to ensure clarity and progression of the Performance Pathway. 

Qualifications and Key Skill Set Required: 

•    Minimum Level 2 UKCC Qualification 
•    DBS Registration 
•    First Aid Certificate dated 2014 or later 
•    Safeguarding and Protecting Children Certificate dated 2014 or later 
•    Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills 
•    Commitment to assist 5-10 (CA/SA) x 2 hour sessions September – April 

Trainee Coach

Main Purpose of the Role: 

•    To attend Satellite and/or County Academy training sessions 
•    To shadow Head Coach and Assistant Coach
•    To be mentored with the aim of gaining experience of the Performance Pathway and Academiesy programme 

Qualifications and Key Skill Set Required: 

•    UKCC Netball Level 1 minimum, Level 2 or working towards desirable
•    At least 2 years netball coaching experience
•    DBS Registration
•    First Aid Certificate dated 2014 or later
•    Safeguarding and Protecting Children Certificate dated 2014 or later

Head Coach 

Main Purpose of the Role:

To be part of a panel of Coaches to plan, lead and deliver a well balanced and co-ordinated programme based on the Performance Guidelines and EN Performance Programme.  To liaise closely with the Performance Lead and Regional Academy Coaches to ensure clarity and progression of the Performance Pathway. 

Qualifications and Key Skill Set Required: 
•    Minimum Level 2 UKCC Qualification 
•    DBS Registration 
•    First Aid Certificate dated 2014 or later 
•    Safeguarding and Protecting Children Certificate dated 2014 or later
•    Coaching experience: in a Performance Pathway, Premier league, Regional League, highest divisions of a high standard level Adult League or                performance oriented University team
